32 Weeks - Baby Shower!

I love 3 day weekends. I think we should have them more often. The extra day really helps!

On Saturday, I reached 32 weeks. I continue to be amazed each week that I'm another week further along. I think it will be a shock once I do go in to labor, just because I don't expect it to ever happen. I've been dreaming of having a baby for so long, it still doesn't seem real that I could be holding my baby girl in 8 weeks.

Yesterday, Sunday, was my baby shower! My aunt Karen organized the event, and my mom hosted it at her house. Most of my family members traveled all the way from Northwest Indiana just for Ellie and Me. I am so blessed to have so much love in my family. Some people might not be willing to give up a holiday weekend for us, but they did. I loved seeing everyone, as I probably won't see them again until sometime after Elliana arrives. Here are some pictures from the shower!!!

Above: My mom made the tablecloths! They are absolutely adorable!

Below: The balloons were so cute! And my mom used Dreft laundry detergent and baby bath stuff as balloon weights! So I could then use them after the shower was over! We also have a few very realistic looking dolls that were used as decorations. It was a fun way to display more baby items!

Here are a few more of the decorations!

This one is Ellie's "coming home" outfit!

The shower was a great time! I've been looking forward to it for so long, and it did not disappoint!

My sister and I had very similar dresses! It was very cute and totally unplanned!

I am humbled by the extravagant gifts we received. There is not much more hubby and I need in order to be fully prepared for Ellie. All the gifts were prefect! Elliana is so loved already, and it makes me smile with joy. I am one lucky mama already!

BUMP! 31 weeks!

Yesterday was the 31 week mark. Looking at a calendar, I only have September and October Saturdays left! I do what I can to make it seem closer! People have started asking if I'm getting nervous. Absolutely not! I am just so excited to see her and meet her. Of course I want her to stay put until October 27th, she needs to be fully baked! But I can't wait to hold her and kiss her!

My mom and I went shopping yesterday. I got a new maxi dress. It's so super cute! I took my 31 week bump photo it in!

I've noticed that Ellie's movements aren't just quick jabs anymore, but more of a smooth rolling feel across my upper belly. I could literally keep my hand on my belly all day. Feeling Ellie move is one of my very favorite feelings in the world!

Instead of sewing today, I spent the day cleaning and doing laundry. I really need to pick up the sewing pace, but with family coming next weekend, I have a lot of housework to do! I've been slacking lately.

I'd have to say heartburn/acid reflux and swollen feet are my worst symptoms. Everything intensifies in the evening. Luckily, once I make it through the night, my feet and ankles are back to a recognizable size.

I can't wait for my shower next weekend! I can't wait to see my family and am so happy that they are making the trip down for Ellie and me. It really means a lot to me.

My posts are not as often as I'd like, but I either have a lot to do, or I don't do anything at all! Haha! I have a lot to do this week, but one of my tasks in the midst of cleaning is to finish the darn glider makeover! I'd like to have it done so my family can see it! Hopefully I can get that accomplished and show it off!

30 Week Ellie Belly

Today I am 30 weeks! Only 10 more weeks (hopefully) until I can kiss my baby girl! I'm so excited! Elliana has been very active the last 2 weeks. She's been having dance parties in my belly. I love it. I love to feel her move and kick, and I really enjoy watching as my tummy bumps out with her kicks and jabs.

I had a 3D ultrasound back at 19 weeks. Elliana still looked rather skeletal at that point. Here is a picture of her profile back at 19 weeks:

This morning, she looked much chubbier! Even the ultrasound tech said she has chubby cheeks and that she is perfect! I love hearing that she's perfect!

See those cheeks? I can't wait to smooch them! Finally, my favorite picture of the day. Ellie's profile with her chubby cheeks, her little nose, and her TOES up by her head! Haha! So cute!

Only 2 more weeks until my baby shower! I know a lot of hard work and a lot of love is going into planning. My mom is working super hard on the decorations! I can't wait to see everything.

The glider and ottoman make-over has begun. I will post the before and after photos once it is finished. Hopefully I can get the motivation to work on it some tomorrow!

29 Week Bump!

Well, I never posted my 29 week BUMP! And now tomorrow will be my 30 week bump! Oops! I better post it now before it gets skipped.

Last Saturday we celebrated as one of Hubby's childhood friends got married. Between driving down the night before for the rehearsal and dinner and getting home pretty late, and then driving down again for the wedding and reception (and getting home pretty late), this pregnant lady was exhausted. I did manage to have a picture taken though, before collapsing in a heap in the bed. Here is my 29 week Ellie Belly:

There was a photo booth at the reception, and a strip of photos was printed for the guest, as well as for the bride and groom. The copy for the happy couple was immediately glued onto a scrapbook page and put into plastic scrapbook pages. When the night was over, they had a finished scrapbook of photo strips! What a great idea!

I love that Ellie made it into the photo!

Tomorrow is a big day! Not only will I be 30 weeks, but we will get to see Elliana! I haven't seen her since my 20 week anatomy scan and I am dying to see how she's grown! We are going for a 3D/4D Ultrasound in the morning. I've been waiting for this for... oh, about 10 weeks! Hopefully I'll see her again in another 10 weeks, but in real life!!!

I'll post pictures tomorrow!

Snoogle

The Snoogle is a curved body pillow that aids in the comfort of pregnancy sleep. It looks like this:

I've had one for a few months, and it's ok. I sleep way better with it than without it. I think it could be a little fuller. I wonder if I could add stuffing to it... probably. Hubby refers to it as my "fort." I think he likes it though, because he leans up against it too sometimes. For as much room as it takes up, why not both enjoy, right?

Most nights, Daisy goes to bed before we do. She isn't allowed on the main couches anymore, only the one in our bedroom where she sleeps every night. I think she goes to bed early so she can be in the bed for a while before we make her move to her couch so we can get in bed. Last night was no exception. Only this time, she wasn't at the foot of the bed, but IN THE FORT!

She is using the belly wedge pillow as her pillow for her head! She's ridiculous! Then, as if that wasn't enough, Hubby decided to help her get even more comfy!

She stayed like that for another 45-ish minutes until we came to bed. I laughed so hard when I first found her in the fort. She's a funny dog.

Photo Bomb

I couldn't post the pictures from yesterday, so here they are!

27 weeks!

I made a changing pad cover to match the rest of the nursery.

I also made pieces to go on a generic mobile. It's a little wonky - the triangle piece is too lightweight. I will have to add something to made it a little heavier so it all levels out. Still matches though!

Finally, a double-sided flannel blanket. It's a nice big size to lay on the floor. I just love this fabric so much!

I did make another non-matching changing pad cover this morning. It is flannel and very cute fabric. It'll probably go on the downstairs changing pad. I need to go buy a new memory stick for my camera before I can take anymore pictures!
